This impressive piece of driftwood was discovered, almost completely submerged in mud, during a community litter picking day on the banks of the Thames.
After a quick wash it was clear that this piece of wood had some incredible character and I knew straight away what it would be.
4 years on, and having been washed, scrubbed, dried out and treated with Danish oil, it has been transformed into this impressive centrepiece, which will look great on any sideboard, dining table altar or shelf.
As well as having 4 tea light candle holes added, it has 4 brass feet. The colours range from shades of brown, yellow, and deep red, the intensity of which varies with different lighting. It is a solid and heavy piece , weighing in at around 1.5Kg (3.5lbs).
